Located in Brantôme in the Périgord, in the north of the Dordogne, the Hostellerie du Périgord Vert is appreciated for its simple and authentic charm, its calm and its shaded terrace.

Our Logis hotel (restaurant de Terroir and Hôtel Essentiel) has a private closed car park located just behind the hotel. It is equipped with two charging stations for electric cars: 1 standard Type II station + 1 Tesla fast charging station.

Our 23 rooms, 2 of which are accessible to people with reduced mobility, overlook the green inner courtyard or the hotel’s heated pool. The hotel’s rooms are all equipped with shower or bathtub, hairdryer, toilet, flat screen TV, telephone, free Wi-Fi.

Whatever type of room you choose – standard or comfort – you will find quality bedding (20 cm thick mattress), recently renewed, in widths of 160, 180 or 2 x 90 cm to ensure the best possible sleep quality.

During your stay, you can enjoy the hotel’s outdoor swimming pool, which is heated in season (May to September), the shaded terrace and the…

Pets are not allowed in the hotel.

Sleep & Eat at Hostellerie du Périgord Vert in Brantôme

Our hotel is open every day of the week.

From May to September, the restaurant is open for dinner on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays for lunch and dinner.

From October to April, the restaurant is open for dinner on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sunday lunchtimes.

All year round, our restaurant is closed for lunch on weekdays and all day on Fridays.

Spring vacations 2025:

Hostellerie du Périgord Vert will be closed from Friday March 21st to Sunday March 30th inclusive.

The hotel’s rooms

We offer different types of rooms:

STANDARD ROOMS

Our Standard rooms, located in the main body of the hotel, wrap around the hotel’s inner courtyard and offer a view of the terrace, garden and pool. They are mostly on the first floor (only one floor without lift) except for 2 which are on the ground floor, right at the pool.
Our Standard rooms offer all the comfort you would expect from a 2-star hotel: 12 to 15m2 (excluding sanitary facilities), you can choose between a 160cm or 180cm bed or two 90cm single beds. They all have a shower or a bathtub and a separate toilet (except for the two ground floor rooms where the toilet is in the shower room).

COMFORT ROOMS

Do you prefer larger rooms? Our Comfort rooms are for you!
They are located in a building just a few metres away from the main building and overlook the courtyard or the swimming pool. Two of them are on the ground floor (accessible to people with reduced mobility) and have a private terrace. The other four are spread over two floors (without lift): we can “privatise” each floor for a stay with family or friends!
They are 20 to 25m2 in size (excluding sanitary facilities), equipped with 180 cm bedding, and offer plenty of storage space as well as a kitchenette, which we can provide for stays of three days or more. They all have a shower and separate toilets (except for the two ground floor rooms for which the toilets are in the shower room).

DUPLEX FAMILY

Ideal for a trip with children, our Family Duplex has a large double bed and bunk beds for your children. It has a separate shower room and toilet. If you are staying for three days or more, we will provide you with the kitchenette that is available in the Duplex.
The private terrace, overlooking the pool and the garden, will probably offer you the best view of the hotel!

Hotel restaurant in Brantome in Périgord, Logis Restaurant de Terroir – Hôtel Essentiel, 200 metres from Brantome Abbey. Heated swimming pool, Spa, Closed private car park, Electric car charging points, Terrace, Wifi. Non-smoking hotel and restaurant.

In the morning we serve our traditional breakfast consisting of hot drinks, organic apple juice, organic farm yoghurt, fresh baguette and toasted country bread, cereal and fruit buffet, and, as a little extra, home-made pastries and jams (10€/person).

And if you want: we can even offer you a “snack”, instead of the traditional breakfast (13.50€/pers. – on order only):
Black ham from the Périgord, sausages, black pudding and sausage from the Boucherie Vincent Bouffier, tomatoes from the Ferme Des Gourdoux, cheese from La Grande Dennerie… In short, local produce!
And of course a glass of Domaine du Bois de Pourquié (Bergerac red).

A little history…

The Hostellerie du Périgord Vert is now one of the oldest hotel restaurants in Brantôme.
Over the years the hotel was called Hotel Moderne and then Hotel Fernand’el.
Since the opening of the hotel, Jean Charbonnel, his children Jean-Claude and Bernard (the brothers whose name the neighbouring hotel bears) and their sister Colette, and Maurice Granvaud, also known as Fernand’el, have succeeded one another.
In 1986, Anne-Marie and Alain Conseil decided to take over and enlarge the hotel and to name it Hostellerie du Périgord Vert.

In 2001, we, Marielle et Gilles Roby, took over the family house and have continued to run and modernise it ever since: in 2004, the creation of the heated swimming pool, then the addition of a car park which is now equipped with electric charging points. In 2010, the improvement continued with the installation of a whirlpool bath for relaxation and the creation of 7 comfort rooms, more spacious, thus better adapted to long stays, including two rooms for people with reduced mobility.
